7.50am Monday. I was wondering - should I mention the events of yesterday or should I not - and just in case you don't know what I'm on about, have a quick shiftees at this link - Mick Fanning - Shark . Well, firstly, I'm really glad he's ok - to come out unscathed - wow. Secondly - Its got me really thinking about how lucky we are to be able to surf in relatively safe waters around the UK. We all moan about the crowds, and the wind, and the lack of swell but we don't have shark attacks.
Well anyway - on to the surf - small and high tide at Rest Bay -1-2ft and will drop with the outgoing tide later this morning - maybe 1ft. Picking up later this afternoon with the incoming tide but so is the wind so we're likely to get a messy 2-3ft.
Coney Beach is 1ft and likely to give us flatness later this morning - not much this evening - maybe 1-2ft but cleanish.
